This was taken at Jamaica Bay NWR on an overcast day.

Canon 1D MK2 500mm f4 1.4x, Tripod Ball head Sidekick Leveling head, Manual exposure using incident meter 1/1600 @ 5.6, Auto focus.

I like the gracefulness of the composition. The berry is a real bonus. I also like the high key- agree with Alan the light was handled well.

Very nice as always. The catbard... the most vocally challenged bird on the planet. ;) I like how the curvature of the back echoes the curve of the perch.
