I know the shot is a little dark, and the angle is steep, but the plumes blowing in the wind were a shot I could not pass up! Thanks for looking!

Hi Brandon, I don't blame you for not passing this shot up. (However, I think this could have been improved with flash. What's your thinking about using flash?)

Dramatic and a good job of cropping. I think you could brighten the image some with PS. Nice going.

George,

My flash equipment is currently limited to the internal flash of my 10D. I hope to get a Canon 550 soon so I can start exploring another aspect of my photography, and any advice would be appreciated! Thanks for commenting on my shot!

I agree, very dramatic and unique shot. When I look at this, I feel like I am being watched. A bit more light might have been ideal, but the uniqueness of the shot helps to raise this shot up a notch in my books.

Way to go, Brandon. Unusual and visually appealing with the repeated lines created by the plumes. Some PS can lighten the face more which will balance the image. For this to work perfectly, I feel the eye must be more compelling and that can be brought out in the digital darkroom because you have everything you need to make a smashing and unusual print.

Definately lovely plumes. We don't get to see many of them up here.
