This is a different Red Tail than I posted earlier this week, but located in the same area. This one is much larger. The facial expression reminds me of the excellent eagle shots I've seen on this site. Wish the sky was blue and not overcast. One day, I'll get some eagles!

Taken with Canon 1D, 300 2.8 + 2xTC, handheld from car window.

This is awesome! Seems like the best flight shots occur on overcast days. It happens to me all the time. Great job under less then ideal conditions.

On this monitor the background blends in with the NS default background color. It looks like the bird is superimposed on the page.

Awesome image!!

:D :D :D Spectacular I'd say. Never before have I seen a white BG used so effectively.

This is terrific -- wasn't sure how I'd like the overcast but the more I look at it the more I like it.

Personally, I'd take this over blue skies.
Excellent

Lovely High Key shot, and excellent detail, for my taste a little warmer on the colors indicating overcast skies, otherwise excellent!!! Congrats!! 8)

Earl:

I love the pale background, it effectively enhances the contrast and saturation of the bird. I wish It was mine.
