Canon 10D 100-400 @235mm f10 1/800 iso400 Sidekick C1LE

Taken on a city pond in Scottsdale, Arizona. This little guy hangs around with a half dozen of the huge ankle biters who are very protective. On land the Ross is almost always encircled by the group, once they hit the water it seems like they relax their guard a bit. This is a new camera system for me and I would appreciate any comments as to the techs. I love hearing the sound of the shutter and seeing those pretty little red boxes flash.

Chew:

Nice couple of pretty geese. The 10D with the 100-400 is a good combination but requires a lot of steadiness to obtain really sharp pictures. A smaller aperture may have given a longer DOF to have both birds sharp. Thanks for posting.

I really like the me-and-my-shadow positioning of the geese as well as the size comparison. Great background too.

Very nice. :D

That larger Goose looks like a freak compared to the smaller one. The only techs that I see needed is maybe a little usm on big birds head.

Really good! The exposure looks right on, and I like the reflected light on the geese. Getting the background goose sharp would be nice, but other than that it's very good. I'm glad you finally got the new system!!

Interesting size comparison shot. Makes that Ross's look dinky.
