This bird was perhaps the funniest of all from my Bosque trip...Heather, Greg and I observed as she spun in circles with her head in the water for what seemed a very very long time. For minutes at a time I would stay on her with the shutter half depressed waiting for that moment she would lift her head. This went on a good twenty minutes before I got this shot and she had moved away out of reach. Thanx for looking.

Brian, nice shot. Those are some red lips :) I might take a bit off the bottom.

Gorgeous light on this hen. I like the fluffed up back feathers. Way to stick it out to get the shot.

Nice job with this one. I would have loved to have gotten a Northern Shoveler there but I just didn't have the time to wait them out when the light was right. You sure did good with this one.

Excellent shot of this gal. I love the spots on her bill and the fluffed up wings. 8)

Great light, hard to imagine waiting 20 minutes and still having such wonderful light. Great patience.

LOL, I remember doing the same thing with this bird and being frustrated that she never seemed to come up for air. Great job here!

This is really nice. These ducks are notoriously difficult to get to cooperate. :) That is one red bill! I love the composition in this one.
