 Dunlin Fort DeSoto, Florida With snow outside and an icy sidewalk I’m thinking of warmer times. Specifically, photographing shorebirds during a March visit to Florida. I couldn’t always identify the bird, but if it was in front of me long enough I’d photograph it. I’m hooked on shorebirds, they are just so fascinating to me! This was one of my first chances at Dunlin, and I got a few moments where this one fluffed up in front of me. The muck is less than ideal (and keep in mind that I was lying in the same muck to get the photo). I cloned a small, green clump of whatever out of the left side of the frame. Digital capture with Nikon D1 Sigma 300mm f/2.8 with 1.4x teleconverter Manually exposed at 1/640, f/5.6 ISO 200 Ground plate with Wimberley Sidekick Image comments/critiques appreciated!
