Image
Background: Canon 10D 1.4 lens 1/4000 at 6.3 ISO 100 Tripod.
Silhouette: Canon 1D 400 5.6 L Lens 1/1000 at 5.6 ISO 200 Handheld.

Playing with creation of silhouettes against nice backgrounds is difficult in PS to give a realistic flavor, too many details and time spent that it is probably easier and faster trying to find a similar image in the real world. However when the weather or the birds do not cooperate on the same day it is nice to dream of a ideal acquisition.

All comments appreciated.

Beautiful photo, Juan. I love the position of the bird in the frame.

An interesting shot that, like Harvey Edelman's Laughing Gull, strikes me as greeting card material. The bird's neck appears to be angled away from the camera and looks foreshortened.

Juan, It would be an awesome photo even without the bird. The bird puts it over the top.
