Probably the first time on NS, a female common wattle-eye; this is another one from my Gambia trip; thiis species, related to the flycatchers, is confined to thick bush and was taken in the Abuko rainforest; light was pretty difficult;

You did a great job Herman.

(Having been there, I can verify it's a tough job there)

A nice rainforest shot. Wish she had turned his head a bit more.

Herman, this is a great image for natural lighting in rainforest conditions. As others have said, a head turn would be sweeter, but as it is I like the basic detail & exposure, as well as the rich colors and play of light on the nearby leaves. Nice capture!

The head turn would have been nice, but under the conditions you did well to get this. Always cool to see a new bird.
