Detail and sharpness look good, Steve!
I see a slight green cast ...

I forgot how gray and white this bird was. I don't see the green cast mentioned.

Nice work.

Excellent detail. If there is any color cast, I suppose it's more green than maroon or cyan, but I'm having a hard time seeing it.

Your skillet/scooter (SKOOTER?) performed well, I see. :)

Nice image on what I know was a pretty gray day up there. There is a tinge of a cast, but to me more noticeable is the steel-eye effect. I took the liberty of touching up a tad in photoshop, as seen below:

This really works. The gray day and the black and white patterning on the bird really complement each other. The image is almost luminescent. A beauty.

Thanks Chris, But the bird was actually much lighter then your repost, if anything even lighter then my post. I believe the lightness of the eye is actually external reflections here rather then internal steel-eye glow. In any event I toned it down a hair.

That is a stunning image Steve. Makes them compete with their spring plumage. Though I have seen many BB Plovers, I guess I have never seen an immature as I look at this one.

I like this shot a lot. Everything looks great, but I think I like the "seamless" BG the most.

Interesting light on this bird, like the monochrome sometimes and this one works well.

Steve,

I like this one a lot as originally posted, but ditto the sentiment that the eye needs something done to it. I'd get rid of the blue color in the pupil, the laser-beam catchlight, and then select the eye and increase contrast to help bring out whatever natural features might be there.
