5000th Post!: Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Rose-breasted Grosbeaks were one of the things I wanted to photograph this summer in NY. Luckily my friend Eric Dresser has a feeder with tons of them coming to it. I was very happy when this guy landed on my setup :D

You dropped a zero in your title, should be 5000. Congrats on that! Killer shot, and I love the composition. I just wish we had those guys out here :-( Nice work! :)

Chris:

I like the subject a lot and the variegated dark background enhances the red a lot, I am ambivalent about the leaves on the bottom, maybe looks a little unbalanced to me.

Lovely Chris, a beautiful image to celebrate 5k. I like the comp and the inclusion of the leaf. I'd clone the little broken off nub on the perch.
