Nice intimate portrait, seems a touch soft, but not at all bad for a 500/4 + 1.4 tc handheld.

Now that's a close-up portrait! Does look like focus is slightly in front of the bird (leaf is sharper than the bird).

Now that's a portrait. Beautiful bird, with a nice background. Vibrant colors and regarding that trace of softness, well these old eyes can't detect it. Let me get my specks................................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I'm back, .......even with my close up glasses that eye looks sharp to me. However, I could be wrong. Either way, nice portrait.
