Such very cool action, Hugh. Poor fish looks like it's screaming in pain.

Good catch for both of you, Hugh! That seems to be a pretty big fish for this bird. Nce exposure and detail. I like seeing the shells embedded in the sand.

Timely capture, Hugh. Vivid colors, tack-sharp to my eye, a fine photo. I can picture this taken at sand level and that would be spectacular.

Terrific, Hugh. You've certainly gotten a lot of great images at that location.

Hugh,

Very cool shot with the fish. The saturated colors in the bill and the legs looks great.

Very cool Hugh! You caught the fish in mid-air between its bill--great.

Great shot Hugh, nailed prey in mid-air. I would prefer lower camera angle. Were you on evelation?

This Skimmer was flying around the nesting area destroyed by Hurricane Dennis, landing all over the place and then taking off again. Don't know if it thought that it still had a chick somewhere and was looking to feed it. No time to drop down for the shot. I was standing on the beach where the Skimmer landed in this image.
