White-eyed Vireo

This was one of my favorites from a couple of years ago here on the upper Texas coast. All comments and critiques welcome. Thanks for looking.

Yes, I should have changed to ISO 400 and shot at f/8; I know, I know!

Canon 10D; 500mm IS w/ 1.4X TC
ISO 200
Metering: Evaluative
Exposure mode: Av for 1/40 @ f/5.6
550EX Flash: -1/3
5% crop from right and top

Cool shot Wayne--don't see a lot of Vireos here. Like the head turn.

Shows the 'White Eye' to perfection even with the head turn. Keep up the speed recovery!

Now that's a curious pose if I've ever seen one......even if he does have his eye set on lunch one branch over. Cool shot......the eye is a marvel.

Glad to read that you're doing so well.....behave yourself......within reason to get back even sooner!!! If you get real bored I can always send you a CD filled with lousy images.....and let you work miracles on them!!! That should keep you busy for many weeks!!!
