 Although not a perfect perch , this is his preferred spot, I guess because it's a lot easier to watch for predators and prey, As skittish as he is, I don't think that any one is going to sneak upon him!!, I am sure that with a blind and the use of a tripod his captures could have been a lot better, but with camera and lens resting on a monopod, and the wind blowing my aim all over the place, I, even surprised myself with this semi-decent image!!(I am not being cute) D1x, Raw, Lens=400mm afs-f/2.8 + 2X, FL=800mm, Incident metering, 1/1000sec SS-f/5.6 EV=0, ISO=200, WB=Auto, Flash in [FP] Mode!!
