Taken yesterday at Mai Po Nature Reserve was this Cattle Egret in its breeding plumage ... :roll:

EOS-1D Mk II, EF500/4L IS + EF1.4x
Incident @ zero, ISO 200, 1/1000s, f/5.6

Beautiful shot KK, the breeding colour looks almost airbrushed on this superb flight image. Wonderful for the motif - and yes indeed, a hint of sunlight!! :D 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Indeed there was a very brief moment of the sun light peeping through in the early afternoon when this shot was taken. I count myself lucky then. Now we're back to the dreadful weather again today with some rain too ... :cry:

Nicely done KK - I have never seen one of these with breeding plumage - nice one! We finally have some sun here so maybe you will get some as well (maybe in a few days anyway!)

Way more color on this one than the average Cattle Egret in full breeding plumage. Good sharpness and DOF.
