At the end of the first day of our Barnegat outing, we got the only decent light of the whole trip. I like how the light reflecting on the overcast has made the water a dark blue, w/ a mixture of the warm colors, instead of bright blue on a perfectly sunny day.

Very nice shot. Could be wrong, but the white areas look like a bit oversharpened to me. I like that colours in the water match the plumage of the bird.

Chris,

Well done. The color of the water does complement the duck nicely. I like the wave of water that he is pushing.

Glad we could help with the flash Chris. Great shot of this guy, it looks bit bright on the flash fill though, do you remember the setting?

I think this is nice. On my monitor it does not look like the fill fash was too much (but then, this is a poor monitor) but I think it is fine as is. I like the warm feel to it.

Great shot Chris. I think you found a crop that works well for this. Lets hope these guys are still there in late March :)
