Katy, another nice back garden bird. I wish the shadow was not on the gress in the Bg and the birds head was turned just a bit. Some fill flash would lighten the dark part of the bird.

it looks a bit soft, but that may be because of the 1/30s shutter speed.
do you have another where the bird was completely in the sun?

Alan pretty much covered it, a lower shooting angle would help too.
Why stop down to f11 ?

I wasn't prepared for the appearance of the Jay and quickly shot off a few pics and hadn't realised the aperture setting was at f11 :oops:

A lower shooting angle may actually work better here, Katy!
