So sweet to see this bird upclose. I think a vertical would also work with a tiny bit more room on the bottom for the feet if it's there in the original.

The wing detail is awesome although the head is rather soft ...
Nice clean bg.

Beautiful background for this bird, I like how well color coordinated it is. The head does seem a bit soft.

Yes, she is ;) near a feeder. Also near 60 of her closest friends.

I think I may want to work on my downsizing; the head is pretty good in the original, so I wonder if I am muddying things up in the downsizing....

Bill,

You've been holding out on us! Other than I little selective USM on the head I LOVE this one. :)

You have no idea how jealous I am that you had ops on this bird.

Bill, I think your point of focus is on the wing again. Otherwise she is a beauty.

This over the shoulder is better than anything I managed on the female. Not wild about the squareish crop nor the bright perch but the BG is to die for! Compliments the bird nicely.

Way to go!

Beautiful detail especially on the upper back, set off nicely by the BG.

My nemesis bird

A beauty!!

yes, focus is not on the head or eye, which detracts from the image

Very nice. Wish for a bit more room at the bottom.

A beautiful shot. Unfortuantely the DOF wasn't adequate to get the head in focus.

nice shot!
I also wish for a bit more room on the bottom (if you have it).
I think the DOF does get the head in focus as well.. but it looks like others see it differently

Everyones mentioned the focus thing. With that said, im am so jealous that you had opportunities to photograph these guys at a feeder. Great shot.
