Pano Redpoll

Heading up north offers other opportunities besides owls. Common Redpolls, Pine Grosbeaks, and other winter finches are all over the place.

I decided to do a panoramic image to show the catkins and more of the environment.

Canon 10D(borrowed from Steve Roman), Canon 600mm f/4, ISO 200, 1/360 @ f/6.3.

Beautiful shot Terry!! :D I wouldn't leave out the left part of the frame with the OOF vertical branch.

Nice one but the bird looks soft, Terry!
Would also leave out the oof vertical branch on left ... :roll:

I like the habitat and how the bird is like it's in a spotlight. I also would crop the left as suggested.

Terry, I am relieved to see you posting images here after your other posts! Gorgeous shot; not sure i would have chosen the pano myself, but ti's a cool effect.

Very nice mood here Terry, love the perch and background. The OOF branch is a little distracting, not sure if cropping it out help, it changes the comp a lot. I would just go back and shoot some more shots of this guy :mrgreen:
