Very dull day yesterday in Southern Ontario. Did not shoot much at all, except for a bit at the end of the day at LaSalle Park. Lots of waterfowl out on the Lake. These Mergansers were making a play for the female so I took a few shots. They were a bit far away and with the days photographic catch being almost nil, I decided to shoot these guys. Cropped about 50%.

1DM2, 500f4 + 1.4x.

Love the symmetry on this one. A little tighther or maybe a pano might work also.

I love this lat. I'm suprised the males were displaying so close together. I'd expect one of them to chase the other away.

Lat,

You captured some wonderful action here. The symmetry in the drakes is very cool. I like the pano version.

I think I prefer the repost. This is really cool with the two males going at it in unison. Meanwhile the female looks like she could care less. Must say I have to sympathize a little with them  Good work.

Nice symmetry Lat, you made the best of a gloomy day. On a bright day and low angle this would be spectacular!

Very cool to see this! Great image Lat. You can repost the pano crop to a 800 x 400.
