Nice shot Steve, you usually do not see these guys in trees (at least I have not). I am not sure if I would like to see a hair more room on the left or not. Nice job with the exposure on the whites.

A stronger fill may open up the dark branches where it stands ...
A good shot, Steve!

Magnificent animal. The cross diagonal lines in the image give it a strong, dynamic feel. I also think your use of fill is good. Very nice. :)

I like the diagnol that is formed by the branches the bird is perched on. Good job on the whites and the use of fill.

Very nice, I think the bird really stands out here, and love the details

Anything I might not like about this image is related to digital photography. When white image segments roll toward the edge of the DOF, we lose detail. I have thousands of these shots where you just grit your teeth. Your image is strong enough to overcome the deficiencies of the medium. It's quite dramatic. I see these in trees often enough to drive by them if I don't like the shot. They oddly do powerlines in my neighborhood! Steve--this is nice and my comments otherwise are solely for conversation.
