I hope this forum doesn't mind my posting these pictures of captive trained birds, if so I will focus on the wild ones but I would still like to post mainly flight shots because I really learn alot from all the great comments and suggestions.
This is a gyrfalcon/peregrine falcon produced from artificial insemination and hand raised for falconry. The peregrine falcon would not be here but for falconers that started the captive breeding program in order to repopulate the wild populations. I know it is a sensitive subject for many but I feel that falconry definitely has its place in our society and can only help educate the public about raptors in general. I hope you like the photo.
