Eastern Bluebird Sialia sialis

This female was photographed at a county park in Lorain, Ohio.

Is the two-toned background too distracting?

10D, 500mm f4 IS, EF 1.4xII, ISO 200, f9, 1/640.

Any comments are appreciated.

I think the two-toned background adds some depth. I like it.

Very nice image Burce, love the look back pose and framing. The two tone BG adds to the image.

Just would use a bit more USM

Congratulations

I agree with what has already been said in that the BG is very nice and the image could use a touch of USM. A very nice shot of this gal!

Bruce,

I love the pose. The two-toned background looks fine to me. If I were to wish for anything regarding the BG, it would for there to be some green on the left hand side for balance.

Excellent shot as is, too. :)

What a beautiful little bird Bruce! Wonderful detail in the pattern and colours of the feathers and that lovely over the shoulder look back too.

I love this shot just as it is. 8) 8) 8) 8) :)
