Mid season, mid July for us, the plovers are usually plentiful and the young chicks hatch and are busy scurrying about. We have a couple of spots where we will get a flock of 10-12 pairs of S/Plovers nesting. On one of our visits we encountered 15 chicks all running about under Mother's watchful eye.

This is a fairly heavy crop aprox 50 % off top and bottom. A little F/flash would have helped as well and we now have the BBeamers to do that with this year.

Comment welcome. :)

Doug a cuteness alert would have been appropriate for this image :D

Just a bit of fill in would have done wonders. Great image Congratulations

Yup underexposing this a stop and then adding in flash would have brought the contrast together nicely. Cute subject!

What a cutie and a great pose! It sounds like you're all ready to make the most out of similar situations this year. :)
