I had the the honor of shooting this family of red-tails in my neighborhood - the third year in a row they have chosen to live on our street in 3 different nesting places. When I saw the adults building the nest in March, I simply waited so as not to disturb the nesting & birth events. As I drive toward home one evening around 8PM in early June, one chick was hanging upside down on a far branch practicing in wing-flapping and travels, so I knew it was safe to set up.
