I have been looking for ages for the "right" (if there is such a thing) printing paper. I've had good luck with Ilford Pearl. Good luck with Epson Matte. But the folks at Pro Photo Supply in Portland suggested Moab papers. (Moab has easy to use ICC profiles online for downloading.(

I was skeptical. However, I've also had good luck with their matte papers and it seems very good luckj now with Kokopelli Satin. Only problem is that the Kokopelli is a bit pricey. Anyone know a place where there are good prices in Moab papers (or know of a comparable product)?

Thanks and happy holidays.

Try purchasing from one of Moab Paper's resellers, as they are allowed to sell the papers at a discount. Moabpaper.com sells their papers at full price, in order to not compete with their resellers. Often there are items that resellers don't keep in stock, such as 24x36" cut sheets of Entrada, or other specialty papers such as 5x7 note cards.

I use Moab Entrada and have been very pleased. It comes in Bright White or Natural, and is a matte finish, which I prefer. As for the Moab profiles, I wasn't happy with it at all but have heard from many who have had good luck with them. I chose to go with a custom Chromix profile and have been extremely happy with that. Color is dead on the money!

I just did a search on Kokopelli Satin, and it is less expensive than Epson Premium Luster. Premium Luster is a nice paper, but it certainly isn't the best nor most expensive on the market. And you also get the nice bonus of having Epson brand the paper for you on the back.

13x19" Kokopelli Satin isn't expsnive. Just don't compare anything decent to Inkpress papers, which is absolute junk. They just rebrand papers that other manufacturers cast off as their 'B' or 'C' stock.

I think the pricing goes back and forth. Atlex wants $24.56/50 sheets 8 1/2 x 11 Epson Premium Lustre vs. $29.99 at B&H for Kokopelli Satin. For larger sizes Kokopelli is cheaper. Down the road from me there is a place slightly more expensive than B&H but with free shipping they are actually cheaper (and offer better service).

I noticed that they have a "desert varnish" to spray on prints. Anyone use it?
