We Just Call Them "Blues"...
I Have Several Of The Birds Farther Apart... But I Like The Sense Of "A Pair" This Gives....

They live in TX? Nice birds.

I think your frame is a bit too busy. I like birds in habitat, but in this case the birds don't attract special attention. The bird behind is not in a very good position wrt the front. Perhaps you have a slide in which they are not merging and still close together to give the pair feeling you want.

I hope you go back and take more shots, which eventually will pay out with an excellent frame.

Very interesting shot, John. I haven't seen this bird for a few years but my memories of it were of a generally grey plumage. Perhaps this blue tone is a regional difference (more likely my faulty memory).

Here in Colorado, we call them Scalies. Anyway, I have yet to get anything this good of this bird that is extremely good at hiding. Nice Shot
