Ok, I know the motif this week is red but I just had to post another bird with blue. :roll: This one was taken earlier the same morning as the Mountain Bluebird, near the entrance to Robinson Canyon in eastern Washington

Minolta Maxxum 7
600mm f4 + 1.4x II
1/750 at f5.6
Fuji Velvia pushed one stop
slight crop from bottom and right for composition

Small in the frame and still getting a clean background is difficult. I think you made it work very well. This is excellent!!

Hi Michael. I think this is extremely well done. The colorfully bird, while small in the frame, really stands out against the dark green BG. I also think the berries and open bill and a lot to this shot. I like this a great deal.
