Rock ptarmigan and rock

I found this male rock ptarmigan in AK a couple of years ago. Interestingly this area was an open grassy tundra habitat that was peppered with a large number of rocks.

Nice bird and pose Paul, the BG rock adds an element. Whites are a bit hot.

Very nice! Good looking bird and you got the head turn you needed. If I were going to print this I'd tone down the bright area in the BG.
