Doesn't look like the easiest light. Perhaps you could have got a bit lower and used a little fill.

Nice find, are they common in Fla? Agree on the angle but easier said than done sometimes as we all know..would have been sweet though.

George: To my knowledge the only times I see these birds in Florida is during the winter months. They are exceedingly difficult to photograph, very skittish, as it were. I agree also on the shooting angle. Unfortunately the area is not conducive to taking shots undisclosed. And, the 650 dimensional limit really makes the image suffer because so much of the fine details are lost. Thanks for the comments, I understand what you are saying. Best regards, Bill
