Since I just got PS CS, I can't offer any Photo Art for this week's motif. However, a posting this week in Landscape mentioned handheld panoramic stiching, so I thought I'd offer this. I took my mother to the Shedd Aquarium on Chicago's lakefront (that is the building on the left). The sky was wonderful and I wanted to capture the whole skyline, but didn't have the tripod, so was concerned about keeping the camera level. So handholding the camera, I lined up the bottom of the focusing boxes on the horizon line as I panned the camera through the shot. Then halfway through, I noticed the seagull in one shot and had to wait him out until he flew out of the next shot. I used PhotoStitch which came with the camera to put the 5 pictures together. A streetlight was cloned out of the FG and saturation was increased. For this posting, I've cropped off some of the right which had more of the lake.

Suggestions welcome.

The perfect cityscape for a pano. Nice exposure and saturation and nicely balanced.

Neat job. I like the sea gull in the scene. Too bad you did not have one or two more.

Great pano here Paul, of a great city. I like the dome appearance of the clouds over the skyline. Very nice!
