Coyote
Jasper NP, Alberta, Canada
STL

This was the most cooperative coyote we photographed in Jasper allowing the group to approach close enough that wished I had time to take the stacked converters off before he walked away.

Canon 10D with 500 f/4 with stacked converteres 2.0TCII and 1.4TCII, full frame except for slight crop from the left.

Nicely framed. Too bad you didn't get a little more time with it. :)

Very well done despite very challenging conditions, both from the distance, light and subject nervousness standpoint! Well done Cheryl.

Cheryl,
Sweet shot. I like this one nice and tight. It really adds to the impact IMO.

Wow, both teleconverters and the 10D's 1.6 crop came in handy for you here, and I'm so amazed that you were able to pull it off! The direct stare is great.

A very nice shot of an animal in prime condition. On my monitor it looks a little flat. I'll bet a bit of curves adjustment would really bring this to life.

Beautiful shot! On my monitor it could be a little lighter. Very sharp looking for the combo!
