(Sandhill Cranes, Snow Geese) Bosque de Apache, New Mexico

This is intended to be about a month long series of images from my two weeks at Bosque. My intent is to make the images flow as though they all occurred during a single day. Of course, they occurred during the two weeks I was there. :)

This is the fourth in the series. You'll find the first two in the Birds Gallery. This is a slightly wider view than the last image. The power lines are still very visible on the larger image so I'll post it here again. I also plan on posting 5 & 6 tonight, one in Landscape and one in Birds.

This was taken a few minutes before 3 and I apologies for getting them out of order. I especially like the color of the water and it's smoothness. The streaks of white on the water in the back on swimming snow geese. 8)

Tripod/Wimberly mounted Nikon D2H, 70-200mm AFS VR @ 116mm, ISO 400, Aperture Priority, EV-0.3, 10 secs @ F11. Leveled and cropped slightly.

I have always been in love with Arizona, I wish it was my playground as well, but I should not complain living here in Florida since many birds are here year round and a lot of others stay for a long time before moving on!!
Love this image, the light and the mood and the resting/sleeping birds!!
Very nice, Tony!!! 8)

I meant to say Arizona and New Mexico -
