I just went into my local photo store, and saw the new Tenba line of camera backpacks. Pretty impressive. I took a look at their DB-17C model, which is the same size as the Lowepro Pro Trekker AW II bag, and I really liked it.

There is one main difference: The Tenba has a completely padded compartment for a laptop up to 17". Pretty neat-o. The Tenba does not have a tripod holder from what I gathered, and doesn't have the capability to enclose the backpack harness into a hidden area, like the Pro Trekker AW II can.

Anyway, the backpack is $100 less at $239, and it made me think twice about getting the Lowepro. I thought I would come home and do some research, but the bags aren't even on the Tenba web site yet. B&H has them online, too.

My local camera shop has them as well, they also have Bogen's new bag and roller case. Also about $100 cheaper than LowePro, with the dedicated laptop case. I did much the same, and didn't find anythign on them either. I will continue to check
