Yellow Rumped Warbler Having A Bad Day

This was taken last weekend at Jones Beach west end.

This Merlin was finally able to eat it's meal in peace after being chased for a half hour by a young sharpie.

Canon 1Dmk2 500mm f4 2x 580ex, Tripod, Evaluative metering 1/160 @ f10 Iso 500, Flash -1, Auto focus.

Wow...This rocks big time. My only extremely minor suggestion would be to clone the two bright spots in the bottom left corner, but thats just a minor suggestion.

Yep- clone those spots. Ironically, despite the content, this is my favorite shot of yours that I have ever seen. This REALLY demonstrates why diagonals and triangles work so well in a composition Even the birds body forms a diagonal. WOW . I hate looking at this but I can't stop. Its heart wrenching and yet beautiful.How do you always get these?

Wow! what a wonderful capture! :shock: I would consider a tighter crop leaving only the upper part of the falcon with the prey in the frame.
