The snail in talons makes this image. Looks like the focus point was on the feet since the eye appears just a scosh soft.

Having that snail in the talons does make this shot for me also. I agree about the focus point, but I know is it difficult to get it right where you want on faster flying birds.

I think its sharp enough that another round of USM selectively on the face would do it but I really don't see much problem as is. This is very nice, Jay!
