Eurasian Curlew Numenius arquata

One of the shots taken early this morning at a nature reserve here in Hong Kong ... :roll:

EOS-1D Mk II, EF500/4L IS + EF1.4x
Evaluative @ +1, ISO 320

Nice pose KK, another day of flat HK light!!! It's poured with rain here, so nothing for us!!! Off to Sichuan next weekend though for three weeks

Super shot all round, KK. Love the action captured, great detail and I like the pale gray background against the bird. The beak is dark enough that it stands out well against the wing.

checking out some autumn colours hopefully, but taking the 300/2.8 and a 2x with us...

Very artful, KK. The lines in this wonderful composition work. Has an almost black and white feeling. I like to see muted color for a change where composition and pose are more important.
