Went down to Jones Beach, Wantagh, NY, before work. This was the only bird around, and I almost didn't catch it in the frame.

Sometimes I'm just too envious to comment.

Oh, well. Great capture. I agree that a bit more space would be good but that is a minor point.
The position of the bird in the air is fabulous as is the color, the wing and foot position and the catchlight in the eye.

As already mentioned, this is a great image and great action. On my monitor it appears to be a bit flat though needing more contrast.
