Another quick grab shot from yesterday on my way home from the store. Slightly cropped all 4 sides, color adjustment to fit the mood. If you see a ghost in here dont worry, i see it to :D :wink: Your comments always appreciated!

Thanks for looking,

The wind has done marvels for this image. Well seen Robert. I see the ghost too... :)

I absolutely love this Robert. It has a sort of dream like spooky quality that is enhanced by the ghost. :) Have you ever read the poem Ulalume by Edgar Allen Poe? This shot reminds me of the opening...

...The skies they were ashen and sober;
The leaves they were crisped and sere-
The leaves they were withering and sere;
It was night in the lonesome October
Of my most immemorial year;
It was hard by the dim lake of Auber,
In the misty mid region of Weir-
It was down by the dank tarn of Auber,
In the ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir...

If ever I've seen ghoul-haunted woodland this is it!

Very nice!! Your shots continue to amaze me.

I'd also like to nominate Laura's comment for the 'best positive comment' award...

Robert, this is one of my favorite images of yours (or anybody else's for that matter). It is dark and moody and ghostly and evocative and more somber words that I just can't think of right now.

When you shot this, did you know this is the way it would turn out?

I just keep looking at it and liking it more and more.

(And thanks Laura for allowing Mr. Poe to comment as well. Very fitting.)

I have another question ... I assume you used camera movement to achieve this look. But yet you used a tripod. What gives? :)

Robert,

This is what I consider your style image. Really cool. Flip the image and it would make a great wrap-around cover for a ghost/mystery book.

Wonderful image!! Terrific mood. And a perfect poem to go with it. The light makes me think of the eye in Lord of the Rings.

WOW, thanks everyone!! I really appreciate the kind words.

Jenny, i used a tripod with a SS of a guess of about 2 seconds. When the cold front from Canada came thru we had NNW winds with gusts as high as 72 mph. The gusts were higher then the most recent hurricane according to Mr. weather man and i can believe that.

Laura, awesome poem. Thanks for posting it and the kind words to go along with it!
