The photo itself was inspired by a haunting Van Gogh painting titled Crows in Wheatfield. I've looked for crows over wheat to get an image inspired by the painting. This was an amazing flock of Red Wing Blackbirds over newly harvested corn. Some PS filter, and shift to yellow.

Just outside the south entrance to Starved Rock State Park. I never made it in the park--had too much fun with this flock.
