Ruby-throated Female

The hummers are just thick around our home right now. They are constantly fighting and chirping around the feeders and staking out their favorite "lookout branches". I caught this female in a really clear spot.

Nice one Mike. There is a sharp cutoff / halo around the bird. Did you replace the background? If not, in the future, I would selectively sharpen the bird and perch.

There is still a bit of a halo around him. What exactly did you do? It seems that the contrast is better on the bird too..

Part of the halo is my attempt to clone out a VERY OOF (distant) branch that made a "ghost streak" right behind the bird's head. I did increase the contrast a bit and I finally found out how to save the image at a finer resolution (less compression).

Still learning.
