There is no point in me posting another Buffy...Alan would just have a break down and Laura's stuff is exponentially better than what I have!

So, here is another Baird's in his post bathing/preening activity at Conneaut a few weeks ago.

Eos 20D, 500mm IS, 1.4x TC, ground pod, Wimberley, 85% of frame
1/1000 sec, f/6.3
Mode: Av
Metering: Evaluative
Exp comp: +1/3
ISO: 400
AF mode: AI Servo AF
Drive: Continuous: frame 1
White balance: Auto
Flash: Off

Thanks for looking and for your honest critiques. Good shooting to you all!

The blurred wing and tail give a feel of motion ... Sharp where it counts!
Nice shot, Brian!

Nice shot, Brian.
I like the sense of motion. Notice the shutter speed of 1/1000th sec didn't come close to freezing the action.
Looks like it chose a nice little mound to tee up on for you!

Excellent shot Brian. The puff-up is nice. I also like the fact that he is on an elevated surface making the water more oof.

Brian,

He picked a perfect place to pose for you being on top of that little mound. Very nice shot.

Nice, Brian. The ruffled feathers are great. I really like the little tuft of grass on the mound.
