Any body heading to Bosque in December? We are planning a trip out there the week of the 2nd. I hope to maybe meet a few of you from here out there.
We will be there from the 2nd to either the 6th or 7th in December.
Hope to see some one. :D

Thanks

Okay...

If people from here were to all be there at that time, how in the world would people recognize each other??

Will you all have NSN and your NSN # engraved on your foreheads??

I am hoping to get there myself in early December, so if we can determine a way to recognize each other, then maybe a merry time can be had by all!!!

Cheers,

Mark in Austin

I thought it was standard and expected of us to have your NSN# smashed onto your forehead? lol
Well, I think a vehicle descriptions would work, maybe a hat/clothing description? but looking at the "welcome" photos, I hope to just recognize a few and maybe shoot the breeze over a soda or something for a few minutes?

Hey we could even turn this into a half way descent group meeting? Kind of a melting pot group.

Heather and I would love to make this a "day" trip for NSN members on Nov 30th, Dec 1 or 2nd, if that works for everyone. After that we will be busy conducting workshops. The outing would be a one-day event on any of these dates.

We should have hats by then ;)

Let me know and we can organize something. We will have to extend our travel schedule but would be willing to coordinate such an event if there is enough interest.

Please let us know.

Jason, I hope you don't mind I changed the title of your post so that it might get more attention.

I can make the 29th or 30th for sure - might be fun to meet some of the folks that have made this site take off in such a short time.

I was deliberating wheter I should take more vacation days this year and make it to Bosque at the end of Nov. beginning of Dec.... If there will be a contingent of NSN folks there the temptation may be too great.

I am planning to be there over Thanksgiving weekend, maybe one or 2 days around that. It was wonderful there last year at that time. Sort of addicting- can't wait to go back!

Greg,
No worries about the titel change, If it helps get attention..GO FOR IT! 8)
I plan on leaving for Bosque before dawn Tuesday Dec. the 2nd. At about 750 miles away from me, I should be there in the evening time. Even if it just comes down to a quick "hello" and a hand shake, That's fine.
Anyways, I hope this works out for some of us, one way or another. :P

I'll be in the area for about two weeks. I'll be glad to meet with anyone who wants to meet me in the evenings. Depending on the day, I might be available for some shooting time too.

Unfortunately I will just be returning from Brazil around that time and won't be able to go, but I plan to be in New Mexico for several days around the 26th to the 30th to shoot mountain birds up in the Sandias. Specifically I will be going to shoot Rosy-Finches at least twice during that time frame. If you haven't been to Sandia Crest in December you are missing out! It is quite a spectacle to see 80-100 rosy-finches swirling around and coming in to the feeders all at one time. They come within 8-10 feet of you or less so the photographic opportunities are awe inspiring, with wonderful backgrounds of snow covered mountains and pine trees.

I will be there from around November 24th until about December 7th. Since I haven't book my flights yet, I can't be more specific at this time.
I am attending several different workshops during that time so my availability is limited during shooting hours. After hours, it will depend on the workshop format. As it gets closer, anyone trying to meet up with me should email me with a cell phone number and I'll return them my cell phone number.
