I found this guy (a Bordered Patch) recently. I attempted to select and blur the BG, but wound up with a pretty wierd picture. I then used the Posterize tool, and wound up with this, which I like.

Shot with a 1DII and 100-400 @ 300.

Thanks for looking.

Whatever you were doing with the BG made it turn out good for this effect.

Maybe a little unreal for me but it's growing on me. ;) I might tone down the green a little to make the butterfly pop more.

A graphic look and the colours combine well Bruce. Could be worth playing with different colours for the background as well. Nice comp BTW.

All the best Bruce, any chance of one with a different coloured background M8t ???. Interesting to see. :)

Nicely done Bruce, now I would play with different colours for the BG (maybe select a soft gold to complement the BF) and soften the greens to bring the BF more to the fore. There are so many variations you could do on this! 8) 8) 8) 8) :D
