Wanted to put some of the skills gained from my recent STL day in the field to use.

Goal was to try an pan with a hunting Osprey. She never caught anything this night but I think I did :D

Shot at Sunkem Meadow Park last evening with new NWPLI member Luis.

Thanks for looking.
Lou

The pano crop is cool, I think it helps give a sense of speed, and I like the open beak with the tongue showing. Not sure if its just me but I am seeing a slight halo around the head and body, guessing from shadow/highlight tool?

The pano crop works well here, exposure is good too.

I think I see the S/H halo that Jason mentioned too.

Your panning technique is superb, as is the open beak and motion feeling caused by the wings in this image, Lou.

Nice crop and technique. I do see a slight halo. Might be even better if it was faced slightly toward you rather than away.
