Hi all,

UPS dropped off my blind today so I got to work today. I can't believe how effective this thing is!

If you can't view the whole image on your monitor please press F11 to see if you can fit it in.
Image
I just found out that even with my 400mm 5.6L and the 25mm extension tube I won't be able to get any extreme close-ups so looks like I need to pick up a set of tubes.

Exposure: 1/200th @ f/8
ISO: 400
Exposure Mode: Manual
Metering Mode: Partial
Support: Tripod (first time I have used it in about 3 months!)

Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Thanks for looking!

-Mark

Mike, are you sure this is a RWBB? It looks more like a female house finch to me.

Anyways, thanks for the look!

Yes, it is a female House Finch. The pose is really great and I think the only thing to improve it would be the fill flash. When you find a set of tubes you like let me know please as I have been toying with the idea of getting some myself.

Very nicely done, Mark. Yeah, fill would have mitigated the head shadows.

Brian,

Right now I'm leaning towards the Kenko set of 3 Tubes (12mm, 20mm, 36mm I think). I will probably have them by a week. If I do get them I will let you know how they work. I have heard good things about them!
