I watched this bird move through cattails early one morning, when it suddenly reached an open space, leaped into it and did some stretches in the sun. Reminded me of someone going to the local park for morning exercises.

I would normally leave more space in front but I decided to go with a more centered symetrical composition

I'm sooooo jealous, Harold. Super shot.
Was even working on one tonight after work. My darn bird puts on a great show, out in the open, when the light is wrong :?

Your title is very humourous. Beautiful bird and love the image. I think you are right, the more centered composition works quite well. For me it is because of those outstretched wings. Though I may have been staring at my monitor too long, it looks like the throat/chest feathers are sharper than the head. But either way it is an delightful image to behold.

Very nice. I'd like a little more room on the bottom.
Cheers,
