Sorry to say but I've been working the past few days and have not been on NSN. I posted this woodpecker because the vegetation is so different than Arizona.

20D, 600IS, 1.4x, ISO400, f7.1, 1/320, full flash, crop from right.

Comments and reposts welcome

Stunning shot Jim! Looks like a real work of art. The bright colours on the WP against the soft greens of the BG and perch are beautiful. 8) 8) 8) 8) :D

Oh my Jim...this is beautiful! Great motif shot too! Sorry you had to work Saturday but we got a few good shots at Joe Overstreet before the rains came. Will be heading back up there the weekend of the 7th. Come by if your not to busy.

Lovely Jim. This is a good canditate for the Shadow/Highlight tool, bringing up the bird and perch and toning down the BG.

Lovely Jim, It doesn't have an overly flashed look. More detail in the bird would be ideal.

Well Done!

Jim,

Very nice shot. Alan's suggestion would make the image even better.

Carol's right....this looks like a fine piece of art work!! I'm the first to admit how much I like detail, but I rather like this one as is......a different sort of image!!!

A beautiful setting and a nice capture, Jim!
Perhaps I'd like it lighter than is ...

What awesome vegetation! Kind of looks like a miniature forest. Would like this a little brighter but still a great image Jim!!!
