1D MK II, 100-400 @ 375mm, 1/50 sec, f/10, ISO 3200, -1/3 exp comp, flash @ -1 1/3

Normally I'm not one for blurred bird photos but I thought I'd post something completely different for a change--got lots of clean Crane flight shots at Bosque last year. Taken while playing around with high ISO and flash well after sunset--didn't notice this photo until yesterday. I liked the heavy noise and blur effect.

Edited to add more space in front of the lead Crane per Vince's suggestion.

Steve

Steve, This works well because of the similar wing beat.

Beautifully done, Steve. Quite creative, using the grain to your advantage. Even the moire in the grain helps the image.

Not my cup of tea but I am impressed with the noise, or lack off for 3200.

Nicely done Steve. I don't like images like this at all, but somehow this one works :?: :D . I might try getting rid of the color in the noise doing that duplicate layer blur technique.

I never thought I would say that I liked a "grainy, blurred" image. OK....I was wrong. I like this one. Amazing how unwanted elements can make a pleasing image.

Well done Steve! The didital noise and motion give it a nice feel.
