They may be eccentric but I love these guys. They assume the most carefree positions. I’ve seen them in this posture on the sand but never before in the water.

I’m sorry I’ve been absent most of the past few weeks, but my photographic season comes to an end soon – when the heat gets unbearable for me. I’m traveling to different areas in Florida as much as possible before that day arrives. Last summer I didn’t post and comment. This summer I will.

Thanks for looking. Comments, critiques, and reposts are welcome.

Sandy:

I love the pose, perfect exposure, the reds contrast so well with the dark. Congratulations.

I have never seen one do this, so I like it a lot. The exposure is perfect. I am glad you will continue to post this summer.

Great image Sandy. Love the pose and the quite stillness of the water.

The skimmers as always fun to watch and photograph at Desoto. One of them will probably be my next post.

Really a sweet pose. The eye contact really makes this one for me. I wish it was a little larger. Happy to hear you will be hanging around with us this summer. :)
